About the Ingredients
Ingredients are the foundation of food preparation and cooking. The skill and expertise of many cooks is so dependent on them that their abilities simply wane if what they need is not available. Your ability to vary the use of the ingredients at your disposal is what will set you apart from other cooks.
This section covers all the basic ingredients most cultures use on a day to day basis. There will be some specific cultural products not listed on this site and I welcome your suggestions for including them.
I have tried to cover the basics but there will be more available that could be listed on a site such as blackbookcooking.com, so feel free to let me know what else you’d like to see.
