How to Saute Mushrooms
To sauté mushrooms, use a non-stick pan preferably that’s been heated on high. Once the pan is hot, add a little bit of good quality olive oil.
Add sliced or quartered mushrooms to the pan, reduce the heat a little and continue to stir as they cook.
Once the temperature of the pan drops a bit, you can add the garlic without risk of it burning.
You’ll notice the mushrooms will absorb all the oil you had in the pan, so be careful not to add too much up front otherwise your mushrooms will be oily.
Turn the heat completely off and season the mushrooms and garlic with a little flaked salt and cracked pepper, and lastly some fresh chopped parsley. Then serve as required.
