How to Line a Spring Form Tin

To line a spring form pan, start with a piece of baking paper that’s slightly larger than the pan and trace around the base of the pan with a pencil.

Now with a pair of scissors cut around just outside that circle. Then open up the spring form pan and place the cut circle over the base, so that the pencil marking is facing down.

Replace the rim of the pan over the top, fit it into position and fasten it.

Now spray the inside of the rim with cooking or vegetable spray preferably one that’s neutral in flavour like rice bran oil spray so it doesn’t taint the flavour of your cake.

Now, take another piece of baking paper long enough to fit inside the rim of the tin and fold it in thirds lengthways. Then wrap it around the inside of the rim so that it overlaps. The spray on the rim will help it stick.
