How to Deseed Cucumber
Cucumbers are traditionally very wet vegetables, in fact their water content is more than 70%. As such, for some recipes, it is best to remove the seeds and watery flesh so that they do not affect the texture of the finished dish.
Also, some varieties of cucumber are less watery than others and this may not be necessary.
The recipe will indicate if the seeds should be removed, and if it doesn't, use your own discretion.
To deseed a cucumber begin by cutting the cucumber in half lengthways. Then using a teaspoon scrape out the seeds down to the solid. Then rinse your cucumber, dry it off and it’s ready to use.
