How to Chop Leafy Herbs
Chopping means to cut food into smaller pieces, usually with a large knife and cutting board. One hand holds the knife tip on the board; the other moves the blade up and down, cutting through the food.
Cut off the amount of leaves you need for the recipe you’re making.
Now, hold a cook or chef’s knife tip with one hand grip the handle of the knife with your other hand and rock the knife over the top of the leaves until it is the fineness you want for the recipe you’re making.
Make sure the knives you are using are sharp!
